1. What sports are offered at Key Middle School?

Key Middle School offers a variety of competitive and developmental sports, which may include football, volleyball, cheerleading, soccer, track, basketball, cross country, and other seasonal athletic opportunities. Sports offerings may vary by year based on student interest and district guidelines.


2. Who is eligible to participate in athletics?

Students must:

  • Be enrolled at Key Middle School

  • Meet academic eligibility requirements

  • Maintain satisfactory attendance and conduct

  • Submit all required physical and athletic participation forms


3. What paperwork is required before my child can participate?

All student-athletes must have:

  • A completed HISD physical examination form (dated within the current school year)

  • Medical history form

  • Parent permission form

  • Emergency contact information

  • Any additional district-required documents

Students may not practice or compete until all forms are approved.


4. Are physicals required every year?

Yes. A current physical examination completed by a licensed medical provider is required each school year before participation in athletics.
